grocery store paparazzi, or, hitting the big time with Swiffer dusters in your cart

So I know that the glamorous life of a writer is truly mine now. I have paparazzi. He is a nice, pleasant guy who was bagging my groceries at a Publix market where I don't usually shop, I just happened to be at the nearby Costco. He's got my broccoli, my Swiffer duster replacements, and I think there was other stuff. And he tells me I look familiar. I hear this often. I get "Rachel?" a lot. And "Jennifer?" And then he says "you wrote Invisible Sisters!" And then he says "and you taught a writing workshop I took!" And so I gave Jason (his nametag said so) a high-five and thanked him for being the absolute first call-out I've ever had.

By the way, despite the graphic on this posting, I bring my own canvas grocery bags, and suggest that we all do the same.)
