Other reasons to love Prairie Lights. 1) It's an independent bookstore that is a centerpiece of the community (that's reciprocal love for you) 2) readings about writing, like this one, are SRO. 3)they have coffee and tea and t-shirts and gifts, so if you're feeling like not buying a book, you can still hang out and 4) when I ask about a book by Joe Hill (Stephen King's son)as a gift for someone, bookseller Paul says what's on my mind, which is, "the union organizer?"
